Dear clients and friends,
I thought a blog post would be the best way to make a few announcements regarding Kristen Reed Photography. This particular post is going to be focusing on CHANGE. Since starting my business here in Jackson several years back, I have always made a promise to myself and to my family that I would continue this journey as long as I continued to LOVE shooting. That when taking time away from my husband and children, I was doing it for a job that I LOVED. And from the day I opened up shop, I have truly enjoyed every second I have spent with my clients and their families, creating memories and documenting their lives through photographs. It has been a wonderful experience getting to know so many friendly people around Jackson and I feel so blessed that so many of my “clients” are now very confidently referred to as friends. <3
I’ve hit a point in my business (and life!! I turn “30″ tomorrow!! eeeek!), that I want to proceed by taking on the sessions that have my heart. Newborns and babies under age one. These are the sessions that I love the most…and for now, these are the sessions I will continue to focus on. Will things change somewhere down the road when my small kiddos are all in school?! Maybe so. But for the present time, I’d love to continue to book your precious newborns and babies and have my heart 100% in it. If you are pregnant or have a baby under the age of one, please…let’s get them on the calendar!!! If during a session, you want to include older siblings/parents in a few images, by all means, let’s do! But newborns and babies will be the only “new” clients that I will be accepting.
But most importantly, to my sweet clients who have been with me since day 1. There is no way I could leave you hanging
If you are a “current client” of Kristen Reed Photography (ie you have completed a session since Feb 1, 2011), I will continue to photograph your children and families during the months of March and October/November. I will do some full sessions and also have a few days of mini sessions during these times and I would love more than anything for you to book with me and allow me to continue watching your family grow. After all, you are what got me here in the first place, right? Right.
Changes can be kinda tricky sometimes, but I feel very confident in this decision and I am so excited about the future of my business. You and your families mean so very much to me. Sometimes when I look at photos of my children from when they were tiny babies, I sit back and think about how grateful I am that you have allowed me to photograph the most special moments for you to have and keep forever. This job is so very rewarding.
Thank you again for following along with me on this journey and continuing to support my every move. You will undoubtedly be seeing many more sessions from me and lots of tiny faces for you to “oooh” and “aaaah” over on facebook and my blog.
Sincerely,
